Hotel right on waterfront path (one of only a few hotels lakefront), walking distance to train station (<1km) and bus station nearby. Is about midway between 2 lake ferry pickups, nearby grocery, convenient, and restaurants. Safe and quiet when no festivals next door. Huge balconies with lounge chairs and table/chairs with lake view/sunset views, rooms large, found prpoerty very clean and all staff friendly/helpful. Will stay again.

We loved our stay at Le Mirabeau! We had a beautiful view of the Matterhorn that took our breath away. We loved the breakfast buffet every morning. It was a very easy walk to take the tram to ski. The staff was very friendly and helpful.

Wonderful choice!

We stayed for two nights in a lovely room with a view of the Matterhorn. The location is convenient to everything in Zermatt. The staff were exceptional. We brought our two dogs, and they had bowls and blankets and treats in the room for them when we arrived. The breakfast was a good assortment of both hot and cold options. I found time to use the spa facilities, and the steam room and sauna were excellent, albeit very hot, even by my standards. We would absolutely stay here again next time we visit Zermatt, and we will be back because it’s such an amazing place!

For us, Mirabeau is hands down a favourite in Zermatt. It's a short distance from the train station - just far enough so one doesn't hear trains; close to main streets and both the Sunegga and Gornergrat bahns. The welcome is lovely, especially for canine friends (who also get water and food bowls and their own blanket), and the rooms are splendid, both roomy and well-appointed. We stayed in the annex, just above the spa, with its sauna, steam rooms, shower, relaxation rooms and a splendid outdoor shower. Breakfast in the newly updated dining area is plentiful, with options for everyone. The owners and staff are all multilingual and welcoming. This family-run hotel is comfortable and upscale at the same time, and it was such a treat to come back to Matterhorn views and quiet, while being only steps away from the centre. Absolute highest ratings, and we keep coming back.

From the very beginning, I liked Mirabeau. At check in, they upgraded my room. The desk clerk, Nadine, was friendly and helpful. She took me on a short tour of the facilities and to my room to show me how the buttons in the room work. The room was very nice and had a patio with a magnificent view. The breakfast buffet was free and high in quality with many choices. The waiters and dining room staff were energized, courteous, and eager to please. I left a 10 Euro tip at my table because I was so impressed. The one negative thing I experienced at Mirabeau was on my third and final morning. Checkout time is 11 am and I had the “no maid service” button lit on my door. I had planned to sleep until 10:45 am because I didn’t get to bed until 4 am. However, at 9:45 am, the maid knocked on my door and woke me up. She was probably anxious to get the room made up for the next occupant. But that’s no reason to disturb the present occupant (me!) I could certainly have used that extra hour of sleep because I was tired and had a headache all day and I had to limit my Zermatt activities all day. So, my rating of Mirabeau is 5 out of 5 stars … but if I ever experience that early wake up knock again, I will never return. Afterall, I rented that room thru 11 am, not 9:45 am.

Loved the property. Nice rooms (we stayed in the junior suite), the spa and pool was a must after a long day of skiing, and location was very walkable. The only slight knock was the dining area staff (front desk was great) did not seem as friendly. Might have been an age thing as I was likely one of the younger guest (in my late twenties) but I felt a noticeable difference between how my wife and I were treated and the other couples.
