"The place is clean and nice. If you like the feeling of a sort of ryokan in the woods where deer walk through the garden, you might like it. Note that there are no staff on site and the only option to cook is a microwave. The place is best for people with their own transport who do not want to cook but want peace and quiet in a forest. It is up in the woods behind Yamanakako, further back than the map in Expedia makes it seem. If you find the Yamanakako Village Office on the map, trace west...

Locate near the great view point (Kawaguchiko Lake with Mt.Fuji in background) Very quiet around this hostel and we can’t find a near convenient store around. The bus service had closed very early. So we have to use taxi instead. Please prepare something to eat at night. Some restaurant have to reserve in advance."
