Very clean hotel in a central location, with plenty of parking directly across the road. Hotel staff were very friendly and one of them spoke English well. Rooms were clean and sufficient for our stay. We booked the private onsen bath for our family and was well worth it. Plenty of restaurants within walking distance and a Lawson konbini directly across the road. Stayed from June 1 - June 3, 2025
The hotel provides cheap overnight car-parking across the street, but not the car park just in front of the hotel. The hotel was great with a small Japanese tatami area in the room. The public onsen was spacious with a sauna and a cold bath in the male side. The breakfast buffet was delicious, especially the Japanese food with rice.
Nice beds and bathroom, and we appreciated the excellent lighting and mirrors. After staying at many more rustic inns and sleeping on the floor several nights, it was a welcome change to be in such a modern, comfortable hotel. Although the staff did not speak much English, they were extremely helpful and overcame any communication difficulties with translation apps.
When we booked this hotel we anticipated a typical onsen hotel like the ones we have experienced over many years visiting Japan. Yudaonsen is somewhat urban and the hotel, well, felt like a typical business hotel. The onsen and meals were in a separate building. The breakfast was reasonable, much like what we get in a good business hotel in Japan.
A beautiful hotel with traditional Japanese style rooms and access to a hot spring. The rooms were spotless and the bed really comfortable. We stayed for several nights and explored the beautiful surrounds of Yamaguchi.
I recommend hiring a car to get the most out of the area.
Very bad service without daily cleaning and replacement of necessary amenity. Poor breakfast and extremely small room size ! Public onsen is always full while small in size, and hot spring water doesn’t seem to be replaced or refreshed daily.
I recently stayed at this hotel and found the room layout to be quite unique, which added a special touch to my experience. However, I felt that some of the space was not utilized effectively, leading to a bit of wasted room.
On the positive side, parking was very convenient, making it easy to access my vehicle whenever needed. One downside, though, was that the hot spring facilities were located across another building. During winter, this made it somewhat inconvenient to enjoy the amenities.
Overall, while the hotel has its strengths, there are areas that could use improvement for a more seamless experience.
