Grand Riviera Princess - All Inclusive

"Pros: The resort had just finished a remodel and our room was amazing. The restaurants were all good and we weren’t disappointed with any of our meals. Pools were clean and they had plenty of activities throughout the day. Cons: The beach was completely unusable due to the sea grass which we are aware it was just that time of the year and it was unavoidable. However, there was zero maintenance by the resort to remove the grass. Resorts we have stayed at in the past have equipment that comes in to remove the grass so you can at least access the beach. We could see up and down the beach to other resorts who were using equipment and the beaches were well maintained. On our 3rd day they brought in dozens of workers to hand shovel the area and remove with wheel barrows. In the next 4 days they hadn’t even made a dent in buildup. Our next disappointment was with the trolley golf carts yo get you from one end of the resort to the other. It’s a huge resort and these carts are necessary for anyone with kids, the elderly or anyone who can’t walk long distances. They are not on a schedule and you could wait 10-30 minutes for them to come around. Many times they were already full. They also do not run early in the mornings so if you have an early flight or want breakfast at the main building before 8 then you need to plan on a long walk. They did schedule a cart to come get our bags and give us a ride for our 5am check out which was a relief. Overall we loved the resort and"

"Our stay at Hyatt Vivid was beautiful and exceeded our expectations. The shows and nightlife were amazing, the staff was consistently attentive and friendly, and the food was delicious. We also treated ourselves to a spa day, and paying the extra cost was absolutely worth it. The only downside happened on our last day. We paid for an additional hour of late checkout, placed the “Do Not Disturb” sign on our door, and expected to have that time to ourselves. Unfortunately, housekeeping knocked on our door three separate times asking if we had checked out. On the third visit, we only had about five minutes left before our scheduled departure. I was in the middle of changing when housekeeping knocked again and then walked into the room after my wife had already told them I was changing. They began cleaning before we had even left, which felt like an invasion of our privacy and put an unnecessary damper on an otherwise wonderful stay. Overall, we truly enjoyed our vacation and would absolutely recommend Hyatt Vivid. Aside from the checkout experience, everything else—from the service and entertainment to the food and amenities—made for an unforgettable trip."

"They mainly have 2X beer the mixed drinks are low quality. AC in the room was fantastic, you don’t have to make reservations for the steak restaurant which it was really good, my wife had a lobster! Was great. I was disappointed about the drinks but everything else was great."

"Our first time at the Valentin and it did not disappoint. We had a swim up suite and the room was amazing. Huge bathroom and shower. The bar staff at the pool were all great and very attentive. We saw the famous iguana, Kevin, and he’s quite impressive. Beautiful grounds, lots of wildlife and birds. Food was great. It is a little difficult to find the concierge sometimes to make a reservation for the Hibachi restaurant but we just showed up one night and had no problem getting a seat. The spa was really nice, we had a really nice couple’s massage. We also had a beautiful beach dinner on our last night. It was a great vacation and we would definitely go back again."
