"Great place to stay, staff extremely helpful, kettle wasn’t working on arrival and was swapped within minutes of my request. The young man who served me at breakfast was extremely helpful and nothing was too much trouble, credit to the Hotel. Would definitely recommend and stay again when in the area."

"We were met with a very warm welcome on arrival. The owner was incredibly helpful, offering advise on places to eat and interested in our visit. The room was immaculate and the bed was comfortable. The tea caddy was well stocked. The Aircon was the best we've experienced in years! The decor, atmosphere and architecture of the great hall was amazing and would make a superb venue for a party or wedding. We would absolutely return next time we're in the area."

"We had a great stay at The School House. The room was very comfortable and Helen was very helpful in providing a delicious breakfast so we could leave promptly to see the Manchester Marathon. There is a pleasant walk nearby (recommended by Helen) and we had a great meal at The Fox - just a short walk away. "
