"Lovely setting, great welcome, food superb, staff friendly and helpful We had the suite (kingfisher) which was an excellent room except for a radiator being stuck on in the bathroom. The lady in charge (lovely lass) managed to get it sorted as the outside temp was up in the 30’s!!! If I have any criticism of the room, a little use of bleach would have gone a long way but please don’t let that put you off. The place is very very good. "Food poisoning the first night, rooms hotter than the sun, zero water pressure in the bathrooms. Constantly chasing staff for the most simple things. They ran out of ice. No fans for the rooms. No one collecting glasses or emptying an ash tray. Asked for a coffee in the morning and waited 15 minutes.. got up to ask where it was "oh i couldn't find you" yeah because you were in the kitchen flirting with the chef.. Could be such a wonderful place, if the staff weren't recreating Fawlty Towers"

"Unfortunately had a poor stay at the kings head Booked last minute for a work stay Wasn’t going to be able to get there til late but had to rush to get there as check In closed at 8.30 Upon arriving was told that food would stop being served by 8.30 leaving next to no time to order dinner Unfortunately despite dinner being included in my Expedia booking, I was advised it was room only, but that it would be honoured which is nice, but unfortunately it was starting at 8am which meant I could not...

"This is a single room detached building beside the host’s house and it is absolutely delightful. The bed is comfy, the bathroom has lots of big fluffy towels, there is coffee and tea in the room. The weather was warm while we were there but there is cross ventilation and a fan, and we were able to enjoy breakfast outside in the beautiful garden. I would highly recommend this for a couple wanting a quiet place to stay that is convenient to explore the Salisbury area."

"Another great stay at the New Forest Lodge - super convenient for a pre-cruise stay. Rooms are well appointed and great value, the Indian restaurant next door and a pub up the road is a bonus."

"Check in was easy, and staff were helpful regarding parking. Room was clean and comfortable enough for a couple nights. Towels and wash gel provided. Nice to include a table fan because of the hot weather. Could have done with some more sockets in the room - only 2 sockets and one was used by the fan."
