"Excellent food. Fabulous service from reception, bar and restaurant. Beautiful location with amazing views. Friendly hospitable staff. Plenty of parking. Room was comfortable and spacious. It’s an old building with the related issues (you’d creak a bit if you were that old!). The breakfast buffet was limited however the cooked breakfast food more than made up for this. The evening meals were outstanding. We were part of a group of 6 and none of us were disappointed with the choice or quality. "

"I can’t praise this hotel enough I’ve stayed all over the world in some fabulous hotels but this was outstanding. From the moment we arrived our host Pam made us more than welcome even allowing us to take part in their Burns night that they had on that evening . If you’re visiting this area and are lucky enough to get a room this has got to be the best place to stay ."

"It was a nice stat however the rooms, whilst nice, need a little attention. The grouting of tiles in bathroom need a good scrub and the sofa arms had dust. It wasn’t great being woken at 7am on Sunday morning by bins being moved around. "

"We was meant to stay here I booked a room with double & 2 singles, when I got the confirmation it stated 1 double 1 sofa bed the property made the mistake, after calling hotels.com to try to resolve I got nowhere, so I had no choice but to book another property. After booking another property I then get a call from this property saying they made a mistake. Hotels.com wouldn’t refund me. So I asked the property to refund me which was short by £20 odd pounds. So overall not a good experience "

"Pre check in email was very useful about how to find the nearest car park, but missed the part about not being able to book the parking for more than 24 hours so you have to sit for your current session to expire before paying again. Check out time was incorrect stating 1100 when booking email stated by noon. I reply to confirm but didn’t hear back from property. "Our stay at the Chester Grosvenor was great. Centrally located and large well appointed rooms. Service from check in and check out was very efficient. Valeria our breakfast attendant was great. Special mention to the awesome door attendants, Kevin, Keith and David. Their attention to service and their friendly and helpful manner was of an excellent standard. "
