"I was charged an additional £5.00 for parking! That would be fine in a town but this hotel is in a motorway service station so I am not even sure it would be possible to get there by any other method. This means that I would count this as false advertising. Ramada would be better off just advertising the room at £5.00 more. It certainly left a bad taste with me. They do say that parking is charged somewhere but they hide it well! Reception area was nice. Shower was cold and heating rattle-y but...

"The historic building is simply beautiful, very charming, and well-restored. The room was spacious, and the bathroom was well-equipped. The service in the restaurant was very friendly but extremely slow. The food was rather mediocre. Breakfast was actually quite poor. "Badic accommodation. Poor value for money. A pub with rooms. You could smell the fried chips when you opened the door in the car park. The staff were jobs worth and not welcoming. Poorly maintained property which felt grubby. My room had a sash window broken so couldn't open it. Only good thing were the bath towels and good mattress. Pillows awful. Make sure you don't have a room on the front of the hotel as the noise from the road is continous through the night. I would not stay there...
