"We stayed at Victoria Falls Oasis Hotel the day we arrived in Vic Falls before starting our two week volunteer program. The hospitality was excellent beginning with when they first messaged me to coordinate transfer from the airport. They also helped coordinate a sunset river tour and provided recommendations at local restaurants. The hotel was a nice way to start our trip and enjoyed talking with the Jomo and the staff as we partook in refreshments from the bar. We wanted to stay there again...

Das Frühstück war außergewohnlich gut und reichhaltig. High Tea und Spa (Massagen) sind sehr zu empfehlen. Aufpassen muss man allerdings bei der Schlussrechnung: Bei uns fanden sich einige Sachen, die wir so nicht gebucht hatten. Dies wurde allerdings nach entsprechender Reklamation berichtigt."

"Batonka Lodge was booked as part of a package trip that we did to Africa. However, we extended our trip so stayed two additional nights at the Lodge. The lodge is small compared to some other places that have recently been built or being built but it was just right. It had a really cozy colonial feel to it. "Hotel is situated in the downtown of Victoria Falls. Price and room facility are reasonable while the staff is reall helpful when they helped managing for local contact during my accident (ankle twist). Really appreciated their service mind and help (providing me the balm for my ankle). There is a minimart on the 1st floor so it is conveniece for you to buy something you may need. Really love staff/people there!"

"I picked this one out of the two hostels in the area, because you could pay for it upfront when you booked (so on your credit card in your own currency) and the fact you could pay for stuff with the credit card too. In fact other than the taxi from the airport, I never used cash in Victoria Falls. Everything I went into, including the nearby supermarket was in US dollars though. "We stayed in a standard double. It was tight for room but bed very comfortable. Pool was nice just to cool off because we hit the hot period. The internet worked very well. Tent was way too hot even with a fan during the day but cooled off nicely around 8-9pm. Bathroom facilities were not so nice/ipdated. No hot water when we came but because of the heat, that was ok. Staff was very nice and accommodating. Airport pick-up went smoothly. Didn’t use the kitchen self-help but others did. ...
