"We were given the North Tower and we had a few bugs but nothing that really bothered us. Made sure to keep food in fridge and not out. No sun at pools until late and very hard to get a chair by the pool as there are none on the beach. Quite crowded. Food was good. Kids club was ok - we just sat around their pool with our little ones. had some sun there and lots of chairs so this was nice. Gorgeous view from the room and saw wales. Would not go back but I do love southern Vallarta."

"Resort is a bit rundown. The floor of our room was very dirty, we had to wash a large sticky area ourselves. We paid for an ocean view upgrade but barely had a view, and our room was above the kitchen so we always had the greasy cooking smell"

"Entire resort super clean . Staff amazingly friendly . Shout out to our butler Josue for always going above and beyond for us ! Food was always fresh and sooo good ! Only thing to be aware of is there are lots of stairs .. everywhere . Pool was always super clean . "

"The wifi is only in the common areas and not in any of the rooms, which is inconvenient, but not a deal breaker. Here’s the thing, I was not impressed by the front door but after you go into the actual courtyard, it’s much nicer than you’d think. The rooms are big and are in decent condition for the age and area. It is very convenient to walk down to the beach and excursions, and not be super high priced because it’s not right on the beach. "

"We stayed at the 6person suite with the “tobogán” pool view. The room was terrible. Both of the showers that were in the suite were really old so the shower heads on both were spilling water all over the bathroom. The air conditioning unit (mini split) in both rooms were moldy. One of them didn’t turn on and the other one was spilling water onto the bed and pillows when turned on. In the kitchen, the faucet was very old so the water would come out at an angle and not straight down like normal....

"Rooms are worn out. I read somewhere they’ll renovate soon. Staff is friendly but they look bored, very off character for a Mexican resort. My main concern was food. Brkfst Buffett was terrible and restaurants were meh. Pool is amazing and it is so close to airport that it pains me not to go back, but I wouldn’t. "

"The cave room is seriously something special. I don’t know the story but it must have been someone’s home years and years ago. You can tell they put a lot of thought and intention (and money!) into building this unique space. It’s the perfect little oasis nestled into the mountain. Sure the finishes are older and you're basically sleeping outside (lol) but once you’re used to the sounds at night, I always felt safe and slept like a baby! "This is a lovely hotel and the staff go above and beyond to make it so. Elisabeth, Oscar, and Raul were particularly outstanding in their attentiveness and kindness, but everyone we encountered was great. We stayed in a two bedroom suite and it was spacious and comfortable and luxurious. The balcony is more of an enclosed room with a small open window and a little foot pool, but it was fine because we were enjoying the rest of the resort all day. "Ocean view from our balcony- lovely! The staff are kind and friendly, always laughing. The property isn’t fancy but it is clean, comfortable and has an excellent swimming pool. We very much enjoyed our stay and will be back. "
