Each room we had reserved had its own quirks. Hotel needs major upgrading. Affordable for what you get. Staff and service was amazing. Spa treatment was amazing. Pool bar closed at 9 which then left the skylounge where no children under 18 were permitted. We were in there one evening and saw 3 children under age of 10. Then we tried to take our child and we were kicked out. Different rules for different people. It was an all round amazing experience and great vacation!

This is not a 5 star resort, but, all the staff treat you as a 5 star guest. The staff from the front desk when you first arrive, the doning crew, all the bar staff, pool and Sky Bar, cleaning, housekeeping, gardener. Hope I didn't miss anyone, as every single person went out of their way to make it an exceptional vacation. Thank you.

A plus -Restaurant staff were fantastic! Negatives…. The pool was disgustingly dirty-we didn’t swim after the first day Our room the toilet was leaking and smelled like mold. We switched to a different room. Still mildew smelling but not as strong. Front end staff were grumpy and unwelcoming All in all the hotel is run down. Looks like the plan is to tear it down and make it part of time share which they try and sign you onto right away. We will not return to this hotel

We had a great stay at this property. The staff were amazing and welcoming. We would stay here again. However, there could be a better process in place for people arriving early before check in time. Maybe the staff could suggest dropping off the luggage and some specific places to visit in the town before check in time. Other than that, everything was great. The food was also delicious!

Our stay at Plaza Pelicanos was great. The place is a bit run down and out dated, particularly the washrooms but when you are spending the majority of the day outside it doesn’t play a huge role. Stayed here for my birthday with a couple of my friends and we loved it! Everyone who works there is very friendly and helpful, room was clean and well air conditioned, pools, bars, and restaurants were great too. It wasn't the most upscale resort on the beach, but it was affordable, family friendly, had lots of activities and was perfect for us! This was my first time visiting Mexico so I was going in a little blind(and not sure if I was going to get scammed lol), so for anyone else who's not sure, I would definitely recommend Plaza Pelicanos, we loved it!!

A pleasant stay at Pelicanos. 1 bedroom suite in the tower was a great room. Older resort but very pleasant. Good location and great beach. Staff were awesome.The only down side was the buffet. Not very good.
