"Lovely old fashioned traditional hotel where guests are always right ! I was very impressed when I booked an evening meal . I had warned them I have numerous food intolerances . I hoped they would have something I could eat so was blown away when I was given a menu especially made for ME !! Ventnor is quiet and quaint . Only thing I struggled with was the room was very very warm so sleeping was tricky and it was very small for two ."

"The property is very nice. Looked very new inside and very clean. There were a few hiccups. The shower cut off for about 30 minutes in the middle of a shower. There were no linens for the sofa bed. The bar and restaurant are closed on Monday and Tuesday and I wasn't advised of this until I had already arrived in the UK. If it were not for those things, I would have given 5 stars."

"Very friendly and helpful staff. Well equipped room with plenty of space. Only drawback was that it was right over the main bar. No A/C but fan provided and open windows allowed good cooling and airflow later in the evening. Staff allowed very early check in and provided a good vegan menu for lunch - both greatly appreciated. Plenty of space in car park with camp site near by but not intruding."

"We recently stayed as a group at the Holmwood, and we all had a lovely stay! we found the beds to be very comfortable. Staff were fantastic, the hotel was very clean and they had provided extra fans to keep rooms cool and The rooms were spacious, however some of the bathrooms dated as well as corridors etc of the hotel.
