The guest house is very clean and neat and the gardens well kept. Parking however was a problem, as was the entering and exiting the property. Breakfast which was included, was really disappointing. Some cereal, yoghurt, watered down juice of no discernable flavour, coffee and tea and a choice of 4 options for the hot meal. One option was Halaal and the rest were exactly the same, only the choice of sausage differed.Surely in a province rich in tropical offerings, some avocado and fresh fruit can be included? And maybe some mushrooms, croissants, and a few tiny pastries to fill the void? Baked beans were included in all 4 options, which we do not eat. Surely one of those options could replace this with something else?
We were allocated a room below expectations, after complaining room was changed.
The condition of the linen and towels was appalling so much so that we purchased new towels, sheets and pillows for us to use. The state of the duvets was disgusting and they MUST be renewed.Generally the housekeeping was not up to the standard expected for the price paid. The air conditioner dripped water onto the bed headboard and wet the corner of the bed. The staff were friendly and breakfast OK, it would have been good to meet the owner of the facility. There was no emergency or fire drill information posted nor fire fighting equipment seen. The location was excellent, quiet and secure.
