"Rooms were clean and very large. The hotels communal areas are grand and beautifully decorated but the corridors and rooms could do with refurbishment. The car park is a joke. Very expensive and not at all managed by the hotel depsite them owning and charging for it. People were parking over 2 bays and the hotels wouldnt do anything about it even though they had every guests number plate on check in. This created a bit if a bunfight for parking spaces and not the relaxing start to the trip we would like. The view was stunning and the drinks were reasonably priced. Silly things like not having any mayonaise let them down. Overall though we had a wonderful stay and i think the hotel is good value for what we paid. "

"There was a persistent smell in the corridor outside the rooms and in my room. ? stale cigarette smoke. I stayed the following night at another Premier Inn in another city with no smell at all.This Premier Inn in Torquay is “tired”, needs a refresh - paint, carpets and curtains. my allergies got worse inside the room and corridor outside the room ? cleaning products used or related to the lingering stale smell or possibly tge air conditioning. The bedroom windows would not open and i was unable to get fresh air. Not good. Finally I was greeted on my first morning at breakfast by the person in charge who greeted me by checking the time on his watch, implying I was late for breakfast.I arrived for breakfast 30 minutes before breakfast finished and had a continental breakfast. His displeasure was evident until I mentioned this to him directly then he stopped looking at his watch. Thus is not how a guest should be treated and I hope this individual will be better trained to deal with guests appropriately. "

"Lovely friendly recetion staff. We stayed in a quiet ground floor room with our dog which was very large and had seaviews. We were close to entrance to garden and the bar/ restruant. Car parking is £9 per night. Breakfast is a buffet with good choice for £12.50 pp. They also do dog food. Location is great being few minutes from sea front and restruants. Town centre is about 15 minutes walk along the beach. Torquay is lovely but we also visited Paignton nearby which we found had more going on. There are lots of walks for dogs in and around the area. The hotel was great although a little tired. Backs onto a bowls club and crazy golf and gardens. "

"Hotel and room were clean and staff were friendly and helpful. Complimentary food and drink in the room was also a nice touch. Nothing I can think of could have been improved. Would highly recommend. "

"Excellent from the moment we checked in. Sam directed us to park the car which was too big for the spaces allocated. He provided us with a parking permit so parking was still free. Room was spotless with a fridge in the room. Bathroom was impeccable. Towels provided were new and fresh. Nice to have fresh milk available from a fridge on the landing to use I stems of the UHT pods. Sam and his Wife could not have been better hosts. Extremely attentive and demonstrated this to other guests who were staying at Hotel Peppers at the same time. We didn’t sample the breakfast or the bar as there were so many places to eat and drink within a 5 minute walk to the harbour. When visited relation in Torquay next time then Hotel Peppers will be our preferred destination bar none. "

"Very enjoyable short break in Torquay. Hotel was very nice, comfortable and the facilities in the spa and pool exceptional. Only slight criticism is that we found the menu for dinner in the restaurant quite restrictive with no specials available. Food was fine but options not great. Would definitely return to hotel but wouldn't have evening meal there again."

"Property in a lovely area but it is on a steep hill, which I expected.The rooms are clean and nicely decorated. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful."
