"Everything about this place is fabulous. Staff are outstanding, location is marvelous, nearby restaurants/shops are outstanding! The welcoming glass of champagne upon arrival was deeply appreciated. I cannot wait to visit the River Inn soon! Thank you all for a wonderful stay."

"The rooftop bar was never open during our stay, which was disappointing. The room was big, though the bathroom opened right into the bed area with only a separation for the toilet/shower which made use of the sink area a disturbance if someone was already in bed. Low water pressure, but bearable. It is a historic building so lots of creaks and odd sounds especially at night. The lobby doors stay locked 24/7 and parking is valet only, which we suspected may be due to some security concerns...

"Room was nice and loaction is good. The breakfast is very expensive. The thing that lets it down are the bar staff and some at breakfast (but not all). One bar staff member was rude and arrogant, the worst we come across on our road trip, if you don't want to work here just get another job. "

"The room was quite nice: In the bathroom the toilet was jammed in between the sink and the wall so that it was difficult to sit down, and when I did my leg touched the metal of the stand that held the sink. We had an expensive dinner in the restaurant - not the French restaurant but the other one. The creamed spinach was limp spinach in a milky soupy something. "We stayed in the fly fishing cabin. 2 adults, 2 teens. Had to pay 32 dollars per night extra for a rollaway bed. No soap or shampoo dispenser in shower, so be sure to pack yours. No coffee or tea in lobby. The Walburgerz Wild is not a wild menu, waitstaff said go to Boston for venison burgers. The 2 night stay was ok, but the property boasts ‘world class accommodations’ I don’t feel that is what we got. If you are an outdoor enthusiast you will enjoy the decor, but in my opinion it was ‘just a...

"For the money, this was a great hotel. It offered everything we want in the room when we travel and the bed was very comfortable. The staff was friendly, accommodating, and helpful. The breakfast had multiple choices of hot food. The location was very convenient, so we could walk to all the places we wanted to visit. We especially appreciated the affordable, secured on site self-parking garage. We'd stay here again."

"We chose the property based on the photos showing an eclectic design. Our room has an original brick wall and the dual windows were original bay style. I don't typically sit in a lobby but there's was so inviting we did and visited with the staff. The bar/coffee was also fun to visit with the staff! Very friendly and inviting! It is a corner location and on the third floor there was NO traffic noise. And no sirens during the night."

"Great location, staff was very helpful - one night we were locked out of the parking lot because they lock the gate at a certain hour. However, the valet attendant recognized our car and opened the gate, so we didn't have to go all the way around the building. This was wonderful because I just had foot surgery and really didn't plan to have to walk a long distance. "

"The staff waited to inform us that there was no hot water after we checked in. They gave us a complimentary breakfast for our family but it was probably the worst breakfast we have had at a hotel. We had the thermostat set on 68 but it would not get any cooler than 72 degrees. The attempted to renovate but the overall effort was little to be desired with big patches in the ceiling and nasty caulking jobs. The valet parking was the only thing nice about this hotel. Look elsewhere."

"RUN AWAY from this place. Booked here without knowing the area and we didn’t end up staying the night. You couldn’t pay me to stay the night here. The smell in the room was vomit-inducing and I guess they tried to cover it up with cleaning product? There was broken glass in the parking lot and multiple severely damaged cars. The door handle to the room was practically falling off of the door. The pool was empty and the elevators do not work so good luck if you get a room on 5th floor. Felt very...

"The outside needs to be kept more clean. Outside by the pool, the fire pits are seldom lit because there’s no gas & no one keeps the propane full. The staff & valet are fantastic!!!!"
