"We love staying at the Laurel. It's convenient and cozy. We love the den with a fireplace to relax in the evenings and the view of mirror lake with coffee in the mornings. Will definitely be there again soon."

"Rooms were very clean and neat. I believe it's refurbished recently. Excellent location. Offers virtual check-in and with not so great mobile network coverage I was having trouble checking in. Having some one at the front desk will be helpful. Breakfast served was excellent and staffs kept refilling everything. Almost all the food items were locally procured (honey, peanut butter, eggs, butter etc) which added a special touch to the food, which is excellent."

"The room was clean and orderly. However, we being foreigners we were unable to utilize your in-room locking safe to properly store our passports and currency. Your staff did attempt to make repairs unsuccessfully. They however, did not have the right expertise. Secondly, we were not aware when we booked our hotel that there were two hotels. We were under the impression that we had booked the principal hotel attached to the casino not the Player’s Inn. We appreciated the availability of playing in both Canadian and your own American currencies that was sharp. And, quite indicative of our close friendships and proximity as longtime neighbours regardless of current political climates. Overall, we enjoyed our stay at your location. Thank you, Phil and Josée Groleau"

"I would just note that the bedrooms are on the top floor and there are stairs going to the ground floor where the living area, balcony, kitchen and dining area are. The rooms were lovely cabins with lots of room. It included all types of goodies to make your stay welcoming. In the bathroom there were toiletries, a hair dryer, and soft fluffy towels. We greatly appreciated the complementary coffee and tea as we'd forgotten to pack those. We also liked the sampling of books in our cabin to occupy our downtime. The property itself is stunning. Water surrounds both sides of the property and there are canoes and kayaks, fishing poles, umbrellas and lots of other things you can borrow if the need arises. I would love to come back for a longer stay. The only downsides I would note (and they were pretty minor for us): the view from the Kirkwood room had a small view of the water. The pictures online made it seem like a wide open view. Additionally, we arrived at dusk and it was indeed difficult to find your room (directions were written well -- just wouldn't advise arriving at nighttime). The sound carries, so you need to make sure you're pretty quiet at night as we could hear singing and coversations from the neighboring rooms. All in all, I would 100% return again. It would be a nice place to relax and unwind."

"OK, look, it's not new. Nothing there is pristine, like at the Hilton I stayed at in the week before I stayed at the Ashley. However, my room was clean, the towels were plentiful, the bed was comfortable. There is a welcoming, neighborly feel about the whole property. I would definately book another stay. Indeed, I probably will do so soon."
