"When we arrived at the High peaks Lakehouse, we were confused of where to check in, we had to go across the street to the bigger hotel, and we had a little bit of a tough time finding which door to go into to our hotel room because you come in the back of the hotel but once we went in, we were pleasantly surprised how pretty the room was and had a beautiful view of the lake, the beds were super comfortable, and the room was very roomy and clean. The only thing I didn’t like were the dark colors in the room, but that’s just a matter of preference if we are ever in the area again I would definitely stay there.!"

"Wow, what a wonderful, historic, and afordable lodging! The house and property are beautiful. I paid extra for a private bathroom in my clean, comfortable, and cozy room. The innkeeper William was exceptionally friendly and welcoming. He explained to me that the young deer I saw chilling out in the back yard is named Stella and that she was born on the property. Parking was plentiful and downtown was within walking distance. I only stayed one night and did not come into contact with any other guests. The house was very quiet."

"If anyone is going to explore whiteface mountain or any other nearby area please consider this place to stay. This is very good so calm, no disturbance, beautiful nature, and staff is also helpful we asked 1 hours late checkout and they agree. Definitely yes to this place."

"Amazingly cute little cabin with a stone fireplace. So cozy and welcoming. Small but well defined areas made it very comfortable. Loved personal little touches like handwritten notes on how to work the TV, cleanup and welcome. Amazingly sweet porch with a “Welcome Gnome”, lights and chairs to enjoy the beautiful outdoor area. We were there in the rain which added its own charm but in the summer I bet the fire pits are magical. Would definitely love to stay here again and for longer!!!!"

"The space was perfect for our needs. The mini fridge in the room was very handy, and the shared kitchenette space was a nice touch. We really enjoyed the mix of vintage and new! The room was right out of central casting, but updated with a really nice shower and sink and TV availability. It was super close to the downtown of Saranac Lake, and we could walk to a nice hike."
