"The George Inn was an excellent choice for our first night in England, due to its proximity to Stonehenge and the reasonable cost. All staff were attentive and helpful. We enjoyed a late afternoon walk on the country lanes of Middle Wallop. I want to mention a few things that did not bother us but may matter to other potential guests:

"By sheer chance we ended up at the Three Cups - and it is a delightful family run traditional (as in 500 years old traditional) coaching inn. The food was fantastic, both at dinner time and breakfast. Very personal attention paid to everything. Beautiful gardens, with streams running through. The village is spectacular, with wonderful little shops, as well as the trout streams running right through. "
"Stayed for 3 nights down from Scotland for a family celebration. A beautiful hotel with ample parking. Staff super friendly and helpful. Only had breakfast at the hotel but this was excellent. Hotel is spotlessly clean and the decor is absolutely stunning. Only tiny grumble i could have is that it was stifling hot during our stay, as it is an old building no AC, hotel provided us with desk fans in our rooms but the Didn't make much difference. Good shower and free toiletries. Very comfortable...
