The hotel is nothing special but it was clean and the bathroom I had was nice so it worked out when there was an event nearby. Better than camping for sure

Our stay was very comfortable. The pool wasn’t working but that wasn’t an issue for us. Nice cold air conditioning in 95° weather. Very clean. Good water pressure and hot shower. Beds were comfy. Room was spacious.

Covered Bridge Festival stay

We stay here nearly every year. The hotel has aged & remains open, but is still clean, safe & a welcoming place to stay. Not many upgrades or ameneties, but they still offer a continental breakfast & it is very clean with good beds & bathrooms. Only disappointment was our room heater/cooling unit. It was in need of an overhaul as it was very powerful, even on low. We had a nice, pleasant stay. Will be here again next year.

Price is kinda right

You definitely get what you pay for with this one, I guess. The front desk was friendly, and the bed was decent but the pool was empty of water, there were multiple flies in our room, the ac was super musty and loud, and the tub drain had disgusting black stuff flowing out when I turned on the faucet.

If you are diabetic the so-called breakfast is not for you. Coffee was terrible. The person who cleans the room was the only person I would keep on staff. The rest were very rude. Very overpriced for being a rest stop.

Staff was rude. They tried to not let me stay with my service animal, claimed i needed to show them her certificate (which legally i do not) was very rude. Room was not fully cleaned. Stains on the floor. Night staff was great but did not make up for thenrude day shift

I like convenient. the pool was not function, makes the place look awful. Should not offer on their site. rooms were nice and claen. . Need some repair. bathroom caulk. need a seat that closes on toilet. it is open, there is not where to sit to dry off. the continental breakfast, Little Debbie donuts, maybe fruit, dry cereal. there is a bakery not far, would be nice ift they use what the area has to offer.

It was a quaint setting. It could use some updates. The pool was being renovated so no swimming. The jetted tub in our room did not work and we booked our room based on having that. The iron would not heat up so i could touch up my clothes. The room was clean so that was a plus. Free breakfast was kind of a joke as well. We skipped the powdered doughnuts.

There were a number of things that were awful. The service person at the desk was a man. He was not very helpful. I had to ask him twice for a couple of more towels. Every towel and wash cloth was dingy and one had stains on them that didn’t come clean from the wash. Plus, each towel was hard and rough. The so-called breakfast consisted of doughnuts that had been frozen and then thawed for serving. There was dry cereal, and that was the best part of breakfast. No bread or bagels. The fruit was bananas, and nothing else. The experience was below standards and prices jacked up because of the holiday. Based on the service and amenities, the hotel rate should have been $59 at best. Instead, it was $101/night. WAY overpriced for what you get, which was next to nothing.

Appalling In over 40 years travelling in the USA, we have never encountered such an unwelcoming and unhelpful hotel clerk/manager. Checking in 45 minutes later than check in time of 3pm, we were told “your room is not ready.” No apology or even a given time when it would be. When we asked, we were told 1 hour. Returning an hour later, ( now 1 hour 45 minutes after check in time ) it was still not ready. When we queried this, the same clerk/manager said it was because the previous guests had checked out late and added that “ it didn’t matter.” When challenged, he said “ I don’t care.” He was incredibly dismissive and rude. We eventually gained access to our room almost 2 hours after stated check in time of 3pm. Why did we bother? I wish we hadn’t! As a previous reviewer has said, this property is ‘tired’ and needs complete renovation. It also smelt unclean to me. We too paid an extortionate amount for 2 night’s accommodation and wishing to leave after 1 night were denied a refund by this same employee, who became abusive and told my husband. “ if you don’t like it, get out of the hotel!” Despite this, we left after 1 night, foregoing well over $150 for our second night. That shows you how bad this place is! That member of staff especially but also the hotel itself. Stay somewhere else!
