Although I think we were lucky to find 'temporary parking' near the accommodation for unloading, the locked car park about 400m away (apparently) was very useful indeed. "Stayed here 2 or 3 times. What they offer is basic, but I believe awaiting refurbishment. On 1 visit I was woken about 7.30am, by the bedroom window rattling loudly. I looked out and a window cleaner with a brush and water system was cleaning the window. I spoke to the reception and was advised to email the manager.. I sent 2 emails and rang twice. No response was received. Don't expect to be woken early, in that fashion. Prices are cheap, but I advise to book somewhere else."

"In a lovely setting location, just on the edge of the town, pleasant stroll, passing a couple of pubs. Had a great meal at night. Good choice on the menu. Well cooked food for breakfast, lovely bread, cereal, fresh fruit. Good for parking and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. Will use again, very handy for Blists Hill especially now it’s a National Trust property."

"It's not the best example of a four star hotel. I wouldn't give it that rating - maybe a good 3 star. It's not very fancy. The layout is rubbish. I had to walk through the leisure centre to get to my first floor room. I don't know why the stairs were so far away from reception. Odd. The bed gave a comfortable sleep. The room was a bit noisy because it was near a connecting door but apart from that, it was a good size. The shower and the toiletries were fine. You could tell that the hotel was a bit dated but the decor was fine. We were having poor weather for May, so I appreciated the radiator being on. The breakfast was a reasonable standard. It had some local produce which was nice to see - Shropshire tea and Ludlow preserves. I appreciated the healthy options like porridge "toppings" even though there was no actual porridge (at least, if there was I didn't see it and I didn't ask!). The staff were a little bit "casual" but friendly enough. I mean, it was one of those situations where they were busy talking and interacting with each other and not paying me much attention as a customer. I thought paying for parking was a bit of a surprise but in the end the charge worked out OK for the length of my stay."
