Not the best sadly but ok for one night. Bed had crisp packets under it, bathroom cold despite radiator being on. New owners from last month so some policies have changed like check in time but they kindly allowed me to check in half an hour early at 1430. Hotel needs money spent on it as very dated sadly. Ideal for walking the Wrekin though

Arrived late just to use the hotel to sleep for one night, left early the next morning. The hotel seemed very dated in its decor, however it was clean and comfortable for an overnight stay and the rate was excellent for two rooms.

The location room upgrade was excellent and it was very quiet with great facilities in the room. The only thing that let the stay down was the breakfast the next morning, it wasn't good with a lack of food available for £6.50 so that needs to be changed.

Hotel is very quiet. Lovely location but rooms are dated. Some cosmetic issues such as broken light fitting, toilet roll holder. Biggest issue is there is no restaurant for Dinner.

The property is very tired with no hot food and no beer in the bar . room was dated and not very clean balcony looked like it needed a good cleaning Overall a very disappointing stay Shame as it could be a really nice hotel with a bit of care and attention. On a plus staff we’re all nice and friendly. Sadly would not book again and definitely not recommend.

Great stay

Tucked away and an absolute gem. Enjoyed our stay, even a fire alarm didn’t deter from the quality! Little bit older world style that may not suit everyone, but the service was excellent and the surroundings were even better.

Avoid, council closed kitchen down.

Poor condition, very rundown. Restaurant not operating as council have closed kitchen down, receptionist had no idea when it might reopen. The bar is ‘open’ but they have no stock, only water, ice and wine. Breakfast was packets of cereals. Room had very few amenities. Nice views though. Avoid this hotel. Although weirdly it looked to be full capacity with foreign visitors.

Overal ok room. We were only sleeping for one night. Got there late & left early. Area outside needs a gardener. But for my needs it was ok. In middle of nowhere & could do with an update. Could see light through the frame of my room door Ok if you have pets & if like walking in woods its good.

You sent me an email saying the kitchen was shut and only continental breakfast was available so I nearly cancelled and ate somewhere else before I got to the hotel. The kitchen was open and I could have eaten there. Really disrupting to my plans.

OK for an overnight stay

Staff friendly enough, clean. Room was fine, except the handle on the shower riser rail was bust. Smallest bottle of shower gel I've ever seen. No socket by bed which is annoying these days with phones, laptops etc. Fan in bathroom didn't work. "Continental" breakfast is pretty thin and doesn't start until 8 at weekends. Unripe bananas. Cheap fruit juice. Croissants pre-packed not fresh.Cereal a small selection of the little multipack boxes. etc I wonder how long the lift has been broken for? It was out of order when I stayed a couple of weeks ago. It was functional enough as an overnight stay en route.
