Cabin accommodation . Basic but everything you need , Friendly staff and very chilled. Large Onsen just over the suspension bridge or use the one at the cabins included in your stay .

This was a cabin with dining and kitchen area on one side and a sleeping area with tatami mats and futons in the other. The kitchen has all you need to make a meall but we didn’t bring any food with us. We only stayed one night but would come back and stay. There is a toilet in the room and went to the public onsen to bathe. The chicken yakatori place down the road is a must.

Great find while hiking the Kumano Kodo. Huge cabins, onsite onsen, little store. And economical. Our family of 4 loved it.

Basic but convenient hut
This is quite a basic hut, but fine if you are in backpacking or camping mode. Upside is that it's close to the watarase onsen which was lovely, and a short bus drive from ukegawa trail head. Note that the check in is at the public bath next door,

The profile page says that this cottage has shower. But, actually not. They only have a public hot spring where you have to shower with others without any privacy.
And the cottage don’t have bed. It’s Japanese traditional style of tatami

Staff was quite unflexible, wether about towels or parking the car, rushing me to change car park to another space while unloading the luggage. Generally a lot of “this is not allowed” and too less help, service or flexibility. We did not feel trsted with a welcoming mind nore treated attentively. Their own Onsen is not available in the morning, so you have to see yourself how to shower and get clean in the morning. There is a beautiful onsen nearby but you are not allowed to use their towels, even if u bring them back, so u have to pay entrance and buy towels. We were asked to clean the litter at the end when leaving smd deposit it in a bin at the resort entrance, but not all the litter had been removed before and honestly, for the price I paid I don’t see why I should take over this task. You have to put the futon beds yourself and the sheets as well, and tidy it up afterwards. The value received for the price is inappropriate, I liked the hut although it was a bit old but the service was abismal so I don’t want to come back nor do I recommend it
A great budget-friendly option — the hotel is a bit old but very clean. Conveniently located near the hot spring and several restaurants. One thing to note: the cottages are a separate facility from the main hotel, so guests staying in the cottages cannot dine in the hotel’s restaurant. This should be made clearer.
