"Breakfast area too crowded. Long queue for just a toast bread.Room is not clean, I have bite from insert from the bed. Waiting times for lift is too long, 10 mins just able to get down. Location is great, just opposite Ximending."

"Bedroom area is large, but bathroom is small. All the furnishing are dated and worn. Windows are not sound proofed so lot of street noise enters the room. A honking truck or loud motorcycle would wake me up. Many other hotels at the same price, have newer facilities, better decor, nicer bathrooms. "

"Interesting though confusing place. Rooms are big and comfy and hotel locations’ good. But it’s very dark in there - lobby, breakfast room, amenities: no windows whatsoever. Rooms do have windows but there is like 15 different switches to turn on and off the lights and that’s still did not allow me to turn off an armoire (?) or a spot in the bathroom window. When you do turn them off, they turn on by themselves a bit later. I guess you want to have the staff explain that to you or just remove the main card to power the whole room off. So it’s an experience, in any case. Not bad but still different 😆"

"We travelled with our 7 month old baby and the staff were amazingly accommodating. The room was nicely prepared for us with a baby bed and bath, along with a sterilizer. The concierge was able to keep our ice packs in a freezer for us and had them ready for pickup the next morning. The rooms are spacious and the amenities were great. They had one of the best hotel gyms we’ve experienced. The hotel shuttle was also timely and efficient. Ultimately, the staff were friendly and accommodating. Everything was very clean. We highly recommend this hotel!"

"Overall, the Regent is a very nice hotel. Perhaps a bit dated, but don’t let that discourage you, it’s still a nice property. Positives: the rooms are very large, having just come from Japan where the room I had was small, this felt even larger! We liked the location, walking distance to main station stop, nice high end mall you can access by walking down the stairs, not sure how the mail stays in business, the 3 times we walked through it, it was empty. Pool on the rooftop looks nice and inviting, we did not get a chance to use it though. Negatives: the rooms had a damp musty smell, probably due to the constant high humidity. I got used to it by day. 3. The gym area and equipment is dated, some walls walking to the gym area, but the elevator looks old and dirty. We tried the Brasserie buffet restaurant, it looked good from the outside, had great reviews, but it was not that great. I’d recommend staying at the Regent, excellent customer service. Just know what to expect."
