The Sands Khao Lak by Katathani
8/10 Good
"Family-friendly resort. It’s a pity that the water park (slide, kids water splash, lazy river) has limited use times. This needs to improve. Kids Club was big with 5-star staff. Breakfast was average."

Khao Lak Marriott Beach Resort & Spa

La Flora Khao Lak

"Stayed in building B ground floor pool access. Excellent location very quiet and relaxing and good pool bar. Wouldn’t go back in July was very dead no one around. But resort was top notch"

Moracea by Khao Lak Resort
10/10 Excellent
"Gorgeous room (Hibiscus Deluxe) and view, with excellent staff and an outstanding buffet breakfast that caters very well to vegetarians. The waterfront setting is stunning (though the sea is not really swimable during the rainy season) and the maintenance of the property is outstanding. Note that the hotel is a few hundred metres from the town (and a couple of kilometres from the night market), so it helps to have a car rental or use the local taxis - it's simply too hot to walk. Overall, highly recommended!"

Pullman Khao Lak Resort
10/10 Excellent
"Had a wonderful stay, go all inclusive if you can, not much else nearby. Loved watching the storms roll in, plenty of space in this season. There were tiny things I’d suggest but there’s nothing major to call out. Very much enjoyed our stay, great massages too!"

JW Marriott Khao Lak Resort and Spa

La Solaya Khao Lak
8/10 Good
"Stayed 15 - 29 May Excellent hotel although certainly not 5 star at present. The staff were all exceptional and they are very definitely 5 star. Standard room for the first 12 nts. Very nice room lacking in storage and full length mirror. But apparently hotel are aware of this since they opened in Jan 26 and it is in hand. Breakfast was again 5 star with everything you could possibly want to set you up for the day. We only eat at the hotel one evening, but it was extremely good when we did. Clearly more expensive than eating ‘out’, but that applies to any hotel in Khao Lak. Very quiet whilst we were there as it’s low season, but this suited us fine and all facilities pools, etc were excellent. Unfortunately the pool areas are surrounded by decking what is extremely slippery. Clearly not a good idea round a swimming pool. I slipped during the first week but was ok other than a bruised knee. Two days before the end of our stay my partner also slipped and fell , but she unfortunately fractured her left arm. The staff were extremely quick and helpful on being advised of the accident, Jan and Joy could not of been more helpful with getting her comfortable and getting us to the clinic for x rays. Earlier in the holiday I had also seen a much younger female slip, but get straight back up and carry on. where my partner slipped had one of its stairways blocked off because apparently someone had slipped going down them. We were kindly upgraded to a garden villa for the last 2 days"
