Everything was fantastic. Swim up room was incredible. Agree with other reviews about the hotel restaurant being pricey compared to restaurants less than a 5 min walk down the beach (with better quality food!). Would definitely stay here again if we returned to Thailand.

The resort has a really nice blend of garden and ocean themes with a twist of Thai culture in modern setting. Really good breakfast, spa, facilities, beach and drinks. The restaurants on site are beautiful, and you have the option to visit other restaurants by its private beach.

Wonderful resort with the kindest staff, special thanks to Honey in kids club who was so warm and welcoming and made a special point of saying hello to our daughter whenever she saw her around the resort. Right on a lovely beach with great restaurants either side. We stayed in a pool access room which we would highly recommend, breakfast was brilliant!

property on very quiet section of beach, supermarket very close by, as well some eateries, pool acess rooms were great, the only downside was the food at the hotel restaurant which was exceedingly bland and tasteless, also the design of the bathroom sliding door needs a relook as it is very peculiar

Amazing experience

Such a beautiful property and relaxing stay! The staff went above and beyond to ensure that everything on our stay was just right. There was a little bit of a hiccup on arrival but staff went above and beyond to correct the issue. Definitely a luxurious stay! The food on the property delicious. The property is so beautiful.

Wonderful time

We had great time at the Grand Mercure. The hotel is conveniently located, close to nearby restaurants/supermarkets. I'd recommend it if you want to get away from the busier Khao Lak area. Overall we had a wonderful time.

Great resort in Khao Lak. I think it’s the nicest on the beach in the area. Very quiet and well maintained. They have a great breakfast buffet and the restaurant onsite is good. There are plenty of restaurants to try along the beach too. The spa facial was very nice too.

The hotel is beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. We had a swim up room which was definitely worth upgrading too. Room was spacious and modern with one of the comfiest beds we has ever slept in. All the food and beverages we had were of good quality. However our only complaint is the price of food which can be 3 times as much as local restaurants. The staff were all so friendly and helpful nothing ever seemed too much. Would definitely return to this hotel.

This was a beautiful resort property. The staff was wonderful. There were several restaurants on the property which was very convenient and the food was delicious! Our room was an absolute gem with all the amenities you could hope for. The view from our room was beautiful and the balcony was an added bonus. The pool was large with a bar and individual lounge areas for guests. The beach was steps away from the property and provided some of the most amazing sunsets and the firework show was so much fun to watch. Highly recommend the Grand Mecure.

3 night stay

Staff were excellent and very helpful. Rooms were large & modern, clean, comfortable bed. Pool areas very nice, long walk from front of hotel to the ocean and main pool area, although a couple of pools in between so no issues there. Not a lot of places to eat or entertainment outside & close to the hotel, but a lovely hotel overall and local business owners very friendly and helpful. About 15 km from KL central, l hired a motor bike which made getting around & trips to KL easy. If you’re looking for a comfortable, quiet and relaxing holiday, l’m sure you would enjoy your stay at the Grand Mercure KL.

Perfect spot to do nothing and relax. Nearby street and beach restaurants were delightful and the fire show was very entertaining. Short walk to nearby convenience stores and massages. Kids club was not very inspiring. Not many kids attending the small and tidy room. Idea of having more crafts, cultural activities and even a gaming console for the kids to have down time would improve this service.

Felt like paradise.Staff were always there to help when needed and not in your face kind of way.The rooms were amazing and very spacious. Only thing was the time for breakfast.It was too early start and ended really early.Maybe a later finish as a lot of people were still recovering from excursions and was hard to wake up. And maybe a little more variety at breakfast would have been welcomed.All in all it was a very pleasant stay and we would definitely come back again.

The hotel is beautiful and very clean. The pool area was very slippery, felt unsafe every time we stepped out of the pool. Not very convenient for families with babies. No child pool, and the kids club is very small leaving the kids bored. There wasn’t a lot near the hotel you have to take a taxi to the town , 20 min drive usually 400 baht a direction , so 800 both ways. The breakfast was nice addition. Not much alternatives in the area. The beach restaurants only open at 10:00. Also the rooms with pool access really to for family with baby/infants you have to always keep an eye out for them.

Great stay

Breakfast very good, variety and length of service was great. Rooms large and comfy beds. 2 pools one with swim up bar. Private beach and warm sea to swim in. Staff very polite and helpful. Car park with limited spaces, but security is there 24 hours so no problem parking on the front of the hotel A very enjoyable stay, wish we booked longer than 4 nights. Close to waterfalls, temples, and tsunami museum.
