"The AC eventually cooled the room. The room was clean and the facilities were like an older 3- star hotel in the USA. We did not have breakfast and coffee is only available for breakfast patrons before 10am. There is only instant coffee in room. There were no washcloths which I should have expected. This is not somewhere I would want to spend more than a day but if you need a hotel after a super late night flight - it is perfect!!! "

"We had a quick overnight on the mainland of Tahiti and we couldn't have been more pleased. Excellent location and close to the airport. Wonderful property with a nice rooftop bar. Staff was amazing. We will be back! "

"We had to stay one night in Tahiti to catch the ferry to Moorea the next day. This hotel was walking distance to everything. The ferry, food, bars, and a grocery store to grab snacks and drinks for our stay in Bora Bora. Was a basic room. And very clean with friendly staff. "

"I was impressed with the Maitai Express. Coming to Tahiti I had stayed in a different airport hotel and was extremely disappointed. I changed my reservations on my return to Tahiti but wasn't expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised, it was wonderful. Staff was amazing, cheery & helpful. Room was clean, lovely, soooooo comfy & the a/c worked perfectly. You can't beat the location for ferry to Moorea, cruise ship terminal & airport. Also great options for restaurants & shopping within...

Overall the stay was enjoyable, but the room looked quite dated and the service had issues at times with delays in orders at the bar and the restaurant. The main pool is nice, the best bit of this hotel, and clearly this is still one of the better hotels in Tahiti. "
