"We had an absolutely perfect stay at Pestana Promenade! The rooms are lovely and spacious. The only thing that bugged me was the big arch blocking our view of the sea partially. A few rooms have this problem. The staff are amazing, especially the cleaning ladies who do a wonderful job and are very kind. Amazing staff in the restaurant as well! Our flight was cancelled and we had to book an extra day and they gave us a breakfast box as we had to leave early. Airport bus stop nearby and area has plenty of dining and bar options. About 25 min walk to centre of Funchal."

"Our third visit to this hotel and as usual it was excellent. Staff are friendly and nothing is too much trouble. It’s a nice walk, mostly downhill, to the centre of Funchal or there is a frequent and reliable bus service which stops a hundred metres from the front door. Breakfast has everything you’d want and although we didn’t eat in the restaurant in the evening it was an option and there are plenty of quality and affordable restaurants nearby. "
