"We were very disappointed with our stay. The service was poor, staff were not helpful, and housekeeping only made the bed without properly cleaning the room or restocking coffee and tea - we had to request these items repeatedly.
Be aware that there is NO Wi-Fi and very limited cell service, so download maps and any needed information before arriving. The hotel also has NO refrigerator (6 only for all rooms and you won't get any), TV, and air conditioning; you will find a small fan in the room and staff advised to open the window for ventilation or if we want some cool air.
Food options are limited and expensive. Breakfast is overpriced with few choices, and dinner requires reservations that are unavailable same day. We found better and more affordable options at Fishing Bridge General Store and Canyon Village but be aware that they all close by 7 pm. The hotel store is also more expensive and offers less variety than the park’s general stores.
Also, our booking was fully prepaid, but we were getting charged daily for the room and had to spend time resolving the issue. Unless you have a lake-view room, you are literally paying for a bed and a hot shower, which did not justify the cost for us."
"The location right next to the geysers is the only reason to stay there. Stay at another hotel and just take a walk through the lobby. We booked a double room and was given a single. The manager told us that since we booked through Expedia there was nothing he could do to help, and he didn't seem to care that we were stuck. I had to pay for a second room. The actual rooms are small and run down. Threadbare and stained carpets. We had a view of the construction for what looks like a new hotel."
"The room and bathroom are clean and well maintained. It is in a good location. Walking distance to restaurants and stores. The room has small fridge but no microwave. The staff is friendly. They have self laundry facilities. The minor issue is house keeping services. They are not consistent. One day, they didn’t collect the dirty towels. The other day, they didn’t replace our mugs and refill the coffee and teas. But overall is good. We will still stay here if we come again."
