"The hotel and lobby areas are “old” in that historic hotel type of feel. We pulled into registration, walked in the lobby and were so happy for our choice to stay here. We ended up in the “annex hotel” which was a separate building around back. The room was nice, spacious however no TVs and no WiFi for this property. There was some service and areas you could go to get better service. The surrounding areas and fishing village were great. Highly recommend for those wanting off the beaten on the east side of the park path and closer to better potential wildlife areas. The restaurant had a great menu, and the food was fine. Would eat there again if given the choice, just not overly impressed. The lake view is amazing and the hotel parking lots have bison and elk running around. We also got a great coyote encounter."
Ridgeline Hotel at Yellowstone, an Ascend Collection Hotel
4/10 Poor
"Did not enjoy stay as it was noisy from people parking right outside your room. we had a group leave 4 o’clock in the morning making all kinds of noise. Another negative was that the air conditioner was 1 foot from the bed. You could not sleep well because it would either be ice cold air conditioning blowing on you or no air conditioning at all. Finally when others in the upstairs rooms would shower the nose resembled sleeping next to a furnace as it was very loud. Told the he front desk and they said sorry."
"The location right next to the geysers is the only reason to stay there. Stay at another hotel and just take a walk through the lobby. We booked a double room and was given a single. The manager told us that since we booked through Expedia there was nothing he could do to help, and he didn't seem to care that we were stuck. I had to pay for a second room. The actual rooms are small and run down. Threadbare and stained carpets. We had a view of the construction for what looks like a new hotel."
Starlite Yellowstone, Tapestry Collection by Hilton
6/10 Okay
"The pool area has an intense chemical smell that burns your eyes just sitting there and if in the pool gets into your throat.
The hotel uses AI texting to communicate and the AI doesn’t care about your concerns. The management either doesn’t pay attention to the AI communications or doesn’t care what the client says. I would think based on my concerns the manager would have made a point to contact me.
I cannot believe Hilton has a high end property like this that doesn’t care about the customers concerns. Especially when it is regarding health.
2 nights in a row the fire alarm went off and the hotel didn’t even let customers know what the cause was. We were told by the firefighters it had to do with the pool chemicals."
