Old Hall Hotel

"This is a beautiful old building in the very centre of Buxton, a historical spa town that pleasantly surprised me. While the hotel reception and hallways could definitely use some new carpet and renovation, the staff was very friendly, the buffet breakfast was very good, the bedrooms were large, and two out of the three bedrooms that we booked were freshly renovated. The two renovated bedrooms were on the first floor, whereas we stayed on the second floor. While the 2nd floor bedroom was older and ready for an update, it was very large, clean, and comfortable and I have to say that the bed was extremely comfortable. Overall, for the cost of this hotel with a full English breakfast buffet included, it was definitely worth the money. I would certainly stay there again, but I would ask for a bedroom on the first floor."

"Hotel was very clean and quiet. This was fantastic as it was next to a busy road but it was almost silent! The air conditioning worked really well on a very hot day and the staff were really nice. Bed was comfortable room a good size. Had a bit of trouble getting served at the bar and we were ignored for a while being at the side but they were apologetic for this. Breakfast was typical for a buffet but the coffee wasn't great. Parking was a bit tricky to find (could do with a sign on the main road) but there was plenty of space - (don't forget to pay on arrival and put your registration into the tablet). Will definitely stay again next time we visit our friends."

"We have stayed at this hotel quite a few times and always have a pleasant stay. Hotel is spacious, has lovely garden settings to walk out, rooms are spacious and clean with comfortable beds, Staff always pleasent and helpful and we have never had any issues. Pool area and steam and sauna rooms are great, although can sometimes get quite busy. Not yet used the spa facilities or the huge golf area as our stays are normally eat, quick pool usage, breakfast and go. Highly recommend"
