"So glad to have discovered this place- off the main roads. The whole experience was great- staff were lovely, dogs were made welcome too! Like stepping into an Agatha Christie movie, beautiful furnishings of an era in history. The grounds were well maintained and we loved the Monet Garden - with deer resting near the pond, all very magical.

"Wonderful stay in a magnificent historic building with friendly staff, fantastic views and great food. Our room had a view of the forest where we saw deer & rabbits wandering by. We had great food, both casual and formal dining. The location is truly buried in the forest, peaceful and great for walking. A true sanctuary get away."
"Lovely hotel right in the town, parking at rear, and a leafy courtyard for afternoon drinks. Our breakfast each morning was perfect, plenty to choose from. Close to New Forest walking and bike riding trails. Walk to pubs, stores and cafes. Staff were very friendly and helpful."

"The whole property was amazingly tastefully decorated..the staff were all very friendly..the room was very spacious with a very large comfortable bed..very modern bathroom...tray with bottled water, tea, cafetiere coffee, milk sugar..fridge in wardrobe...very tasty breakfast...would highly recommend and will definitely return..."
