"We enjoyed the spacious suite that had a gorgeous view of Durham Cathedral. The location was perfect walking distance to the river and attractions and restaurants in town."

"We were very happy with our stay . Beautiful hotel in an amazing location"

"Don’t sleep a wink as it was terribly noisy as the students were out all night and it was raining so something was dripping very loudly just outside the window"

"Diddn't use parking or spa but hotel was very convenient for the city centre. Dining room a bit cold. Excellent choice at breakfast and evening meals tasty."

"Er is hier sprake van een gezondheids risico. De kamer, en vele andere, heeft een raam welk opent op een binnenplaats. Er zijn twee gigantische extractie ventilatoren, dus lawaai. Erger nog is de lucht in de binnenplaats: dit is vol met auto uitlaat gassen, afkomstig van de parkeergarage. Dit lucht komt in de kamer bij openen van het raam."

"Clean, friendly staff, easy access location"

"The bathroom shower head had rust on it. There was timescale on the shower basin. The shower screen has soap scum reminiants. Only 1 bath towel and face towel for a 2 night stay for 2 people. The pictures showed toiletries. There were none. The soap dispenser had been watered down. The young girl who appeared to be doing everything went to the shop to buy us a fresh hand soap. The bedding was all creased up and had not been ironed and the pillowcase covers had come away at the stitching....

"Great location, fabulous restaurant downstairs."

"Good place for stay overnight with family"

"Ample parking. Amazing breakfast. Great views"

"First and foremost the property was clean, functional and offered value for money. The staff were friendly and helpful, although our experience of room service was let down by dirty cups being left. We found the hotel lacked character, everything about it was functional and not interesting. This extended to the breakfast, our experience of which was behind not eating supper there. This is not a criticism of the hotel, it is my view. Based on reviews I expected a little more than we got....

"Better than expected. Don’t write off these hotels. Way nicer than many upmarket properties out there."

"Good size bedroom, excellent breakfast, great staff"

"Staying here was amazing. The room was just what I needed for my one night stay in Durham. The bus stop wasn’t far away and was very easy to get into the city center. I arrived a little bit early and they didn’t even flinch to get me into my room. Highly recommend!"
