Staff are fantastic The room was new, clean etc but poorly designed. No reading lamp. The lighting in the bedroom is awful. Whoever designed the room needs to go back to school! I couldn’t make the room cosy. It was all or nothing for lighting. I couldn’t read my book in bed.

The spa is in a different building and closes at 8pm at the weekend. Breakfast took 40 minutes from the spa restaurant, allow plenty of time. Fire alarm went off at 1.15am, no reason given when checked out. Rooms are clean with usual tea/coffee facilities. Large walk in shower. 7-8minute drive away from Durham City Centre.
