"This hotel has a great location in Shinjuku. It’s a five minute walk from Yotsuya, which has excellent connections to all parts of Tokyo, as well as the Bullet Train. Their lounge service (providing tea, coffee and pastries in the afternoon) is good. The room we booked was larger than the usual Tokyo bijou ones. It used the space well, with a large bed, a small dining area, a kitchenette, and even an excellent quality (very quiet) washer dryer. They do provide a very basic breakfast, but we weren’t interested. There were many eateries within 5 minutes walk which had a variety of Japanese and western options. The staff were friendly, but like many in Japan their English was limited. Anne and Sum, were the exceptions, and as such were able to help us a lot. The luggage transfer service to the next hotel in Kyoto was a life saver. We had a very enjoyable time at this lovely hotel and I’d be happy to recommend it to others."
