I enjoyed my stay at this guesthouse. It is conveniently located near Jongno 5(o)ga subway station and 1 minute from 24 hour CU convenience store. My room was clean and quiet in the evening. The staff were fantastic and helpful. Breakfast is simple and a nice touch. I would stay here again next time I come to Seoul.

The hostel is clean, the staff is Very nice and even carried my bag for me. Loved the window with trees outside. The room is spacious. The house slippers and separate bathroom slippers is nice too. My only complaints- the bed is very uncomfortable and the tv only gives you 3 min previews unless you have a subscription. :/

My friend and I really enjoyed our stay at the Star Hostel Suite. From arriving to leaving the staff was very kind and helpful. The location is super convenient. We would stay here again when visiting Korea again. Thank you so much! Also the free breakfast is a nice touch. It is a very simple set up, but good and does the job.

The area is really convenient walking distance to line 1. staff are really friendly and helpful, i communicate with them for an earlier check in and they were ok to accommodate as there was a room available. also offered to help me with my baggage’s. the only thing i disliked was the property was obviously under maintained. but cleanliness was good despite the walls and not maintained. with the price i think its a perfect choice tbh just dont be too picky and you will enjoy your stay. also would like to recommend the property to clean the Air Conditioner.

Everything was perfect! Went to the wrong hotel first since I think that there is one hotel and a hostel under the same name. You get a free water purifier, free breakfast and the manager was the best. Spoke perfect English as well and was so kind. The room was really clean !

This is a great option for travelers on a budget that want to stay somewhere central in a true Korean neighborhood. We stayed 6 nights and were so happy to choose this accommodation. It is less than a minute away from the metro so great for getting around. The Gwangjang Market is across the street, and Jongmyo Shrine, Cheongyechong and Changdukgung are all walking distance. The best thing is the staff. There is limited staff so cleaning is not usually serviced but the reception guys are always friendly and happy to give you any information. Seungdo and Alejandro too but George especially has been a star and we were sad to say goodbye. My only ask would be to have mayonnaise at breakfast for the toast! Thank you star Hostel!

My friend and I stayed at this budget-friendly hostel in Dongdaemun, and it offered a great experience overall. The location was quite convenient—a 4-minute walk to the Airport Bus stop and even closer to a subway station, with another station about 8 minutes away. The area had plenty of great food, shopping, and pharmacies nearby, plus a market just across the property. While the entrance is located in an alley and there are a few bars nearby, it was generally quiet and felt safe. Our room was spacious and included a personal fridge, which was a nice bonus! The room was clean, although the building showed its age, which was reflected in some of the room’s features. One thing to note is that the restroom is a wet room, so the toilet, sink, and shower aren’t separated by walls or a door. The basement level had a communal kitchen with breakfast and filtered water, which I really appreciated. Lastly, the staff were fantastic—friendly, helpful, and welcoming. They even allowed us to store our luggage while we traveled to Japan, making our experience that much more comfortable.

There are two Star Hostel nearby. One is real hostel with shared bathroom and toilet, another one is suite that comes with individual toilet and bathroom. Location is good which is just few mins walk from metro. Just be careful that if you are a female, you should walk together with a friend because there are few karaoke lounges out there. Also, it is located near Gwangjang Market, if you go to shopping area at dongdamen, you still need to walk by 15 mins. Room is basic, little bit dated but still clean and tidy. I believe no tidy up service but not sure if it is by request. Extra towel and tissue paper are provided on a shelf in common area, you may get extra in need. Simple continental breakfast is provided everyday. Good enough if you are not demanding. Staff are nice and helpful, and provided suggestions for attraction in Seoul. It is very good for first time Traveller to Seoul. Seem they can also book local tour for a guest. Overall it is good for budget Traveller who needs a room.
