I've stayed here twice in the past year. I could definitely say this is my favorite hostel I've stayed at throughout my travels in the past 3 years. The staff are worth their weight in gold. They are so nice and connect with you on a personal level. They give the best recommendations on places to eat, drink, and explore. Shrek and Say-beok are so kind and really make sure that you feel welcome. They definitely make the place feel like a second home while you stay there. I hope to come back again soon and make more memories.

Very lovely hostel. The owner is very kind and helpful. Location is conveniently within walking distance from a lot of good shops and restaurants. Definitely hope to be back again soon. Shrek is the best!

Amazing stay at G Guesthouse. The location is close to the public transportation and restaurants. There are also many coffee shops and clubs but the hostel is very quiet and clean. Highly recommend. Thank you so much Mr. Shrek, I will be back!

Best choice for guesthouse stay in Itaewon Seoul

Stayed here a few times in the distant past. Each time including current stay, it seems this hostel draws a certain group of like-minded guest who are cordial, respectful and friendly. This is a great meeting place to stay at in Itaewon/Seoul to forge a truly enjoyable experience while in Korea. The hosts are renown and greatly admired from a wide array of international guests who stay here.

I was a guest here nearly four years ago. Thankfully, nothing has changed: great staff, a safe and welcoming atmosphere, comfortable beds and linen, breakfast, coffee and juice. All for a fair price. This is how a guesthouse is supposed to be. Thank you, guys!

This is a so so hostel. The bathrooms are a little funky where they are both toilet stalls and showers. I think the bunkrooms could be better ventilated, and for some reason the hallways smelled like poo (not sure if this is typically the case). The location is great though and very close to a metro station. Also I thought the staff was very kind and accommodating.

24 hour layover

I've been to many hostels all over the world and this is one of the best ones I have stayed at. You are provided with a towel and a lock for your locker. They have "breakfast" included. It is mostly cereal, toast, juice and milk. I came during December and the room was warm. It is in a convenient location, close to a lot of shopping and food and the subway.

The guesthouse itself served its purpose for my overnight stay in the area. The bed was clean, and the staff was helpful and informative. The bathroom in my dorm was interesting in that if the sink ran too long, the floor flooded. Also, our dorm room door stayed unlocked the entire night. It wasn't a problem, but it defeated the purpose of giving us room keys.

I, like a couple other folks, had a longer than usual stay. However, it was two weeks well spent. The staff always do a good job showing interest in the guests and their needs. In addition, there is plenty of food for the free breakfast (eggs toast. jam cereal, butter coffee) , and they are quite flexible when it comes to potential timing concerns. However, I do have one request...and that is make sure guests are not smoking in the room and try to convince the smokers that when they stand RIGHT BY THE OPEN DOOR and engge in their habit, the smell fills the entire place. I don't wish to be rude but non-smokers don't need have to endure that . That is it...I loved my stay and am grateful there was room.

I stayed there three times the past few months and each time was a nice experience. The rooms were clean, along with the bathrooms/showers. The guest lobby is very useful and pragmatic, if you like to stay in and cook four yourself. The free breakfast in the morning in plentiful, with eggs, toast (with plenty of butter and jam), cereal and coffee. There plenty of books to read, informative literature to guide your through Seoul and the staff are all ready to help and answer questions in a friendly manner.
