The property has great access to Sendai station and the surrounding shops. The building is secure and has extremely useful amenities like laundry which was extremely easy to use. When I checked in the staff was well trained, some of them even have a great level of English proficiency and even when there were language difficulties the concierge handled them courteously and clearly. I recommend this hotel to anyone.
Just really enjoyed my stay here.

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service, amenities
Clean room, very good location close to the JR station, typical APA hotel where the room is small and there is only central heating in the winter, which can be quite warm and there is no window you can open.
Great location next to Sendai station with lots of dining and shopping options in close walk. Breakfast was average (though I enjoyed the Sendai Zunda pudding!)
The hotel was easy to find and very close to Sendai train station. The pillows were VERY thin, I would highly suggest either bringing your own or ask the staff for an additional pillow. There's a Lawson's on the first floor which makes it convenient for snacks/water etc. The room was small but for one night it worked for what we needed. The A/C worked very well. The staff was wonderfuland the hotel was very clean!
The room for this APA hotel is smaller than the APA’s I stayed at. Though, the lobby and facility itself is very clean. Just wish the room was a bit bigger.
The whole process, from communication before check-in to storing my luggage there after check-out, was very smooth. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was very clean and spacious, signage was foreigner-friendly, and there was a great range of amenities and supplies provided. The bed and bathroom were comfortable. The breakfast buffet was delicious. My only wish is for a lobby or public seating area for leisure aside from the hotel room, and perhaps a map and suggestions of things to do in Sendai.
Staff is fluent in English and check in/out process is very easy. The room is a bit smaller than some other APA hotel rooms but it still has the same quality bathroom and furniture. For some reason there was only one pillow instead of the usual two. There is a Lawson right next door and it only takes about 4-5 minutes to get to the Sendai Train station. The APA Hotel actually has a walkway that is connected to the train station / shopping mall building complex.
I chose this hotel based on its close proximity to the train station. There are walkways connecting the station to the hotel, but be aware that if you wish to use the 2nd floor access route to/from the train station, there are stairs to navigate which poses a problem for disability access, prams, or heavy luggage. Getting in via the first floor can be a bit roundabout depending on where you're coming from so plan ahead. The room is compact inside so space will be at a premium if you have many/big bags, but I expected this from a previous APA stay did not find it to be a problem. The staff is capable, rooms are clean, the bed is comfortable, the bathroom is fully equipped with all the basics. The TV offers what can best be described as an inflight-entertainment style suite of movies and programs. In addition to accessing the station, the same system of elevated walkways into the hotel also connect to nearby malls and give access to the area's main shopping street, which was very convenient. Getting to buses, trains, the subway, or Shinkansen from this hotel was very easy. Sendai is a great city to visit, and this hotel is a solid option if you wish to spend more time out sightseeing than relaxing indoors.
