"The Whales Bay hotel is highly recommended. The place was very nice and clean. We enjoyed swimming in the pool and even got into the jacuzzi for a few minutes. The location is nice also as it is out in a quieter area but still only about 25 minutes t Ponta Delgada. The only thing missing was a nice breakfast."

"Had difficulty checking in, pools are beautiful but the sauna or Turkish hammam were either not working or needed to be turned on. Service is a little slow, but could be due to the language barrier. Overall, very relaxing place to be, but you need to rent a car if you stay here. "

"Beautiful space in a great area of the island. Very comfortable for cooking, lounging and sleeping. Unfortunately the showers had very low pressure and did not get warm. There are NO toiletries and no coffee. "
