Fantastic stay. Staff is amazing. Youre going to ponta delgada...the mercure is where you want to stay. Downtown location is great for all restaurant and walk everywhere.

Our experience at the hotel was fabulous. The staff are all so friendly and welcoming. I can say I didn't encounter any staff who weren't great. The room was spotless and a good size. Our balcony overlooked downtown and the harbour beyond. The breakfast included fruit, cheese and bread along with items such as omelettes cooked to order. We also, enjoyed our stop at the bar/restaurant. Overall, a very enjoyable visit to Ponta Delgada. We would definitely stay at this hotel again.

This hotel is new and beautiful,very clean, the food is great, the location is perfect, walkable to so many good restaurants and shops. The staff are so helpful and kind, thank you to Nuno for going above and beyond to help me and my friend with anything with needed, also Bianca and Carina were great. Definitely will stay there again.

The hotel itself was great - beautiful rooms, the comfiest beds, the pool area was perfect! Carina was fabulous - though we were only there for a night in between islands, she helped make our transition smooth and stress free! The location was awesome and in walking distance to the attractions too. My only regret was that we only had one night here. We will be back!

The hotel staff was among the nicest helpful and most professional i have encountered. The hotel was beautiful and extremely clean. Pool area was gorgeous and the restaurant top tier. Catarina and Maria at the restaurant went above and beyond the call of duty to take care of us. The hotel was convenient to everything and is highly recommended. Delicious breakfast!

One of nicest hotels that i stayed. Originally I booked room with out terrace, but without any problem i was given room with terrace looking over pool area. Food is excellent, breakfast was delightful, great choice of hot and cold food. Restaurant is serving lunch and dinner and choice is good. Rooms are good size with nice bathroom. Overall hotel is in excellent condition,5 minutes from harbour and lot of restaurants in walking distances. Only little thing is there is not enough parking spaces it first come first served.

Brand new hotel - super clean and modern. Pools were beautiful and loved the central location with easy parking options (hotel had a lot - first come first serve, but also public parking down the street. Food was excellent - we ended up having larger lunches out, so opted for few dinners at the hotel itself with our younger kids. Never was disappointed in the service or the food itself. Beds were comfy. Only complaint was the shower design often caused a very wet bathroom floor…though that was not unaided by my children in the shower.

New property that is modern and in a perfect area. I think it could use a few improvements on the basics that hotels should provide. No condiitoner, no body gel, no lotion, needs bath mats or something else so bathroom isn’t a concrete block. Other than that the relaxation of the pool is incredible and unique for the area. No gym which was shocking given other spa areas. Clean and new and has great potential. Friendliest staff!

Mercure was comfortable, eco friendly, and conveniently located. The staff at front desk was friendly and helpful. They even allowed us to check in early, which was nice after a red eye flight. We also enjoyed the variety of the breakfast buffet.

Helt ok hotell. 3.5/5. Men med prisnivån hade man förväntat sig lite mer. Bra läge om man vill vara nära stan. Parkering fanns gratis inom ca 5-10min promenad. Ingen problem att få plats på eftermiddagar. Frukost var lite tråkig. Ok men inte mer. Fanns standardsakerna. Rummen ganska små men nya och rena. Fanns enbart kombinerad schampo/duschtvål och ingen conditioner i duschen. Vilken våning man får rum påverkar nog upplevelsen stort med. På våning 1 hade man haft poolen just utanför balkongen vilket kanske inte skulle vara så trevligt. Poolområdet var ok men inte så mycket grönska. Sedan dånande AC och fläktar från grannhusen. Men slutgiltigt. Ok hotell för någon dag om man vill bo i stan men för längre vistelse är det nog trevligare med något annat. En dag vid poolen skulle inte locka här. Priset gör också att man förväntat sig mer, hade varit rimligare om det låg kanske 30% lägre.
