"We had an amazing 3 day stay at Art Mon Zen. From the moment we arrived to leaving, the staff were exceptional and extremely attentive. Probably the best hotel stay in Japan. Overall, the room was very comfortable and relaxing after a long day visiting all the sensational sights in Kyoto. We would highly recommend this hotel to anyone wishing to stay near the main Gion district in Kyoto."

"The room was very clean, larger than average, and very nice. Loved the small boutique vibe, and the staff was just awesome. They were so helpful with getting taxis and help with the train. Breakfast was traditional Japanese style served in our room. Great room amenities and atmosphere. Love it! We would definitely stay there again. "

"Apart from the hotel being a lovely and pleasant stay, I really appreciated the coffee in the lounge. There is a Nespresso machine there where you can make your own coffee even when breakfast isn’t being served. This was very helpful to me because I had to leave before breakfast and I was really appreciative of this small but big convenience. They even had little cookies to have with the coffee and this fabulous tea flavored candy that I enjoyed later in the train. Thank you for that. It...

"The hotel it's small but super clean and well done. The staff is super helpful and friendly. The rooms are spacious and the bathroom huge. The only thing is that is on a quiet neighborhood so it's like 20 minute walk to the canal and Nishiki market but still centric enough. Also, the futon sounds like a good idea until the second night and your hips are dying...just saying. It's not as easy as you think if you are 35 or older..."
