"The guy who let us in was super friendly and helpful with how to use the keys. We felt very safe and welcomed. It is a very walkable neighborhood and close to a strip of bars that offer plenty options of food, so you will never be bored. Amazing place to stay!"
"This property is immaculate and quite new. The room is spacious, with room for 4 to sleep as long as you don't mind bedsharing. The room has a small full kitchen, a washer and dryer, a sitting area, dining area, sleeping area and ample closet space. The balcony has room to sit and the wall is completely made of windows with a sweet view of the city and mountains. The TV was simple to use, and the washing machine got all our clothes (nasty from the jungle) smelling great.
Onsite parking was available and after you get used to the lift (staff will help) easy.
The neighborhood is adorable with great restaurants walking distance and beautiful murals. We returned here from an ecolodge in the jungle and the place felt so comfortable and easy. Highly recommend."
"I stayed in the women’s-only Dormitory A and had a wonderful experience overall. My dorm mates were all incredibly kind, and I even made a lovely new friend during my stay. It was such a unique experience meeting people from different parts of the world, and I'm so glad this was my first hostel experience.
One area that could be improved is the check-in process. I arrived around 9:30 p.m., but there was no one at the front desk. One of the staff members told me someone would be with me shortly, but after waiting about 10 minutes, no one came. That staff member then stepped in to help me check in. The process took another 20 minutes, and without any guidance, it was a bit stressful trying to figure out where to go late at night. Aside from that, I really enjoyed my stay and would recommend this hostel."
"Nice little hotel. Room was clean and comfortable. I had assumed breakfast was included, but it was not. You had to pay of breakfast. Staff were all friendly and helpful."
"Después de la reserva no respondieron mis mensajes por la plataforma para reservar estacionamiento, pero al momento del checkin me asignaron una plaza."
"This hotel is really charming with a nice arquitectural style and cozy rooms. In comparison to other hotels I stayed at in San José this place takes the cake mainly because of the owners. A husband a wife who are incredibly caring kind warm and gave me great advice on food for dinner and breakfast while I stayed. Not only that but they were incredibly understanding about my flight being later the day of my check out and said it wasn't a problem at all. Unfortunately on Expedia some of the information is incorrect due to the new ownership but honestly it didn't bother me at all because of how kind and friendly the owners are. It is a husband and wife that work really hard to take care of the place and meet the needs of their guests. Truly it felt like a home away from home and was a really incredible place to stay while I transitioned into going back to the U.S. I definitely want to stay here again when I come back to San José in the future. Quiet clean amazing service beautiful architecture nice rooms bathrooms etc. I could not recommend it enough!"
"Good, clean, safe, comfortable with reasonable pricing our food for dinner was awesome with big servings. Sadie our server was proficient good and friendly. We had beef/ steak tacos 🌮 and rice with shrimp 🍤 and both meals were very tasty and reasonable. Star 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 Shelby from Jaco CR & Ft. Lauderdale, FL USA"
"I was in San Jose for work for 3 weeks. The apartment was nice and comfortable, but seemed a little less new than the picture. I would have enjoyed having a table to eat/work at.
However, the location is great, although a little noisy due to the busy street and train nearby. Also, the owner and the staff were amazing and very helpuful, especially the houskeeper Mary who was kind and kept the place clean.
Overall a good experience and I recommend it."
