"Our one night stay at this hotel was terrible. Do not book this hotel even if the price looks attractive. You will save money, but lose peace, comfort and sleep. The hotel is really old and run down, everything is falling apart and not being repaired or replaced. The location is right next to auto dealerships and auto shops. You hear all the traffic from the busy road all night long plus the airplanes flying right next to the hotel. The noise and loudness at night were on another level. I don’t...

"The grounds are not really nice like the pics. There is one very small, enclosed area that is decent. Hotel rooms are quite loud because the property is on a busy frontage road, and the highway and directly across from SJO runways."

We paid extra for the breakfast and it was delicious. We were also able to exchange a small amount cash USD at the front desk which was convenient. "I got a single at Garden House and paid for the pick-up service from the airport. As a solo female traveler, I was nervous about staying here by myself, but everything was great! Gerardo picked me up right on time, safely drove me to the property, and showed me around the house. The managers kindly shared go-to spots around San Jose and nearby areas. "This hotel was such a gem for our final night in Costa Rica. The restaurant served delicious and fresh food (veggies were from their garden). The staff was very attentive and the shuttle to the airport left promptly in the morning. We'll definitely be coming back on our next trip."

"They just finished painting the pool edge...looks great. This is our 3 year at the Trapp Family Inn. The only thing that was different was it was warmer than usually in San Jose than in previous years. The rooms were definitely warmer, but we were glad we had ceiling fans. Service, Food, and hospitality were great. We'll be BACK!"
