My standards for value weren't met on privacy: a maid opened the door and I habitually use all the locks upon entering. My own toiletries disappeared. The house phone was a "zapper." The closet smelled like animals. It was new and the breakfast was large, but call in an exorcist before I stay there again.

Chose hotel based on proximity to airport, free shuttle and reviews. Hotel was comfortable, clean and safe - very important when traveling solo. Enjoyed the nice outdoor pool also. Staff was super nice!
