"The room was not at all as shown. The hotel lobby isn’t a lobby but a small room with a check in desk on the 3 floor. There is only a few rooms. This is not a hotel. The cafe/bar on the lower level is loud with extremely loud music and they go until 4 am. We could not sleep. The main chandelier in our room was a bunch of wires with a light bulb hanging from it. Bed was rock hard and this room was literally a joke. Although the ladies that worked at the main desk are very nice and kind, this is not their fault. This was a huge misrepresentation on the hotel owner behalf. I normally don’t give reviews but this entire rating of all these 10/10 stars is absolutely misrepresentation."

"Do not book this! The room looks nothing like the photos, the bed is horribly old and I woke up with a back ache, the bathroom is so small you can pee and wash your hands at the same time, the outlets didn’t all work, the sheets were terribly cheap, and I couldn’t wait to leave. Didn’t sleep a wink. They should not rent out the room we had!"

"We were a family of four that stayed in the “family room”. The room was beautiful, comfortable and had plenty of space. The rooftop restaurant had beautiful views, wonderful food and drinks and friendly staff. Alessandro made us feel welcome. Our daughter had a nut allergy and he made sure to accommodate her and let her know her safe food options. We loved the location. Close enough to walk to the sites, but more quaint, a little less touristy. "

"The apartments are nice, clean and very comfortable. However, we reserved a one level apartment and they gave us an “upgrade” to a two level flat that due to our age was very inconvenient but we accepted it because at least it had a bathroom at each level. The problem was that it was very difficult to flush the toilet and they know it because it had a small sign saying “push it fast”. It was not a matter of pushing fast; you had to flush it 5, 6, and even 10 times to make it work. The next day my hand hurt, we complained, and were moved to the one level apartment originally booked. The other problem we had was that they control the air conditioning and it was set to work only for heating, and not cooling although weather was hot. The solution provided was to open the windows, but it was very noisy outside and, although bed is big and comfortable, we didn’t sleep well. "

"We had a wonderful experience at the Oltrarno Splendid. The staff were super friendly and helpful, the breakfast was great, and there was always fruit and goodies to munch on in the afternoon/evening. The entry to the building was very cool - felt like another era, and the decoration of the hotel is very interesting. Our rooms was very nice and spacious and we had a free bottle of Chianti, which was awesome."

"Huge room on the outskirts of the city centre. Lovely area with great restaurants. The room was exceptionally clean, the downside was the very hard bed as we prefer a softer bed. We would definitely come back here if we returned to Florence."
