We had a great stay! The room had a charming Parisian feel—compact and studio-style, but completely modern and spotlessly clean.

Booked a one-night stay. Perfect location. Walking distance to local eateries and bars. Easy access to the freeway. Prepaid for self-parking; beware of the small parking spots. The hotel itself can use some general remodeling, especially their hallways. They’re rooms are definitely smaller than your standard hotel room anywhere else.

The Uptown Inn by Vantaggio is a clean, attractive very pleasant hotel that offers very clean, comfortable, attractive rooms at fair, moderate prices. I've stayed there twice. Each time was a great experience! It is in the middle of and walking distance to restaurants, cafes, and galleries in San Diego's Hillcrest area and very easy bus connections to Balboa Park and Little Italy. I'd stay at the Uptown Inn again!

Conveniently located in the middle of Hillcrest. Parked in the neighborhood for free but you're taking a risk so read the signs! Room is SUPER small so be prepared to use the countertops for luggage space.

Clean and comfortable room. Easy check-in and great front desk staff. The location is perfect for visiting Hillcrest restaurants and clubs. Unfortunately, the coffee machine was not working, so.. no coffee during my two days/nights. All-in-all, a great stay. I'll be back!

Stay was pretty great. Hotel is fantastic value for money and in a great location in Hillcrest, walking distance to grocery stores, cafes, restaurants, bars, balboa park, etc. Only issue is that the water pressure in the shower was really poor but otherwise everything was great, all the staff were super friendly.

Great hotel, the location is very nice there is a lot of good food in the area and grocery stores. The staff is super friendly and very helpful. Rooms are very clean. I have stayed at the same hotel 2 years in a row for the San Diego Marathon, and each time I have been pleased. Parking is safe and convenient, but a bit on the pricy side.

Parking was cramped. The rooms were cramped but clean. Bathroom was tiny. The AC was loud and desperately struggling to keep the room cool. Check in was quick and easy and the front desk personnel were professional. Overall decent experience and not the worst place I've every stayed.
