This motel is very outdated. Leather chairs are peeling, phones are outdated. The restaurant closed at 3pm so the only place to have supper was in "town" which also had limited options. Not impressed.

A last minute decision based on other's reviews of the property. Someone called this motel a "gem". ??? Really? Why? I knew this place was not a 5 star, but crumbling steps, incredibly musty smell, dated decor made it the wrong choice. There really is nothing around around within walking distance, but the motel is right off the highway, so I guess if you're absolutely done driving and just need to sleep for the night, then Motel de la Montagne fits the bill, but at $170 per night, it's a bit pricey this old, worn out budget motel.

The property is bit bit dated but you can tell they are trying. It had everything we needed and was quiet and clean. We were just looking for a clean decent place to sleep for the night at a decent price and this was exactly that!

Very good motel in a convenient location when traveling from the East coast to Ontario. A little dated but clean. Staff is very friendly and helpful. This is our 4th stay and we would recommend it to friends.

Property was old and in need of repair. An old chair in the room reeked of smoke and body ordour. Water in the rooms was not drinkable. We were given two bottles of water when we checked in.

Filthy run down furniture. Undrinkable and unsafe water. No ice. TV didn’t work. Entry steps into reception crumbling and unsafe. Upper hallway full of old mattresses and unused items. I have pictures for proof.

Hi, Mme Robertson, I'm sorry to heard that you didn't like your stay but as I told you, the city water pump broke down, this is why the water wasn't drinkable. And because the water is undrinkable, the ice form the ice machine is not safe as well. For TV, everything works, you could have asked if you dont understand how to turn it on. For the only matress in the hall, Someone as requested it for a room, so we put it near the pop machine to be used. Finally, the person didn't used it, and because the closet is just near your room #7 i didn't wanted to pull it back in not to disturb late in the evening. And there is a chair a the top of the stair because a person in a while use it after climbing the stair to take a rest.

I do believe that when we arrived, our room (Room 10) had not been completely cleaned. The room door was held open with a chair. The bathroom only had one open bar of soap. When I went to reception to ask for a new bar of soap, I was told that the shower had a dispenser with soap, shampoo, etc. so I was to use that. When I returned to our room I found that our shower did not have a dispenser so back to reception I went to get soap. I did receive 2 new bars of soap. At around 10:00 pm our toilet was blocked. I called reception and let the phone ring approximately 20 times with no answer. After a few minutes we tried calling again, and no answer. We got dressed and were on our way out of the door when our phone rang and I explained our problem. Five minutes later there was a knock at our door. The lady from reception was standing there with a plunger. She did not enter the room, but handed the plunger to me and left. This was not a hotel that I will recommend to anyone!

Hi, Usually, there is 2 soaps bars and 1 shampoo in the room. It is our mistake that we inform you about the dispenser because, there is none in your room. For the phone call around 10 pm, we had a guest at the office, this is why we don't answer the phone but we knew that you called and this is why we called you back after a few minutes.

A reasonable option if you're passing through the area. The hotel interior and stairs are a little cluttered with items which don't make an appealing first impression. The room was decent and plenty of room to park. Pub adjacent has pretty decent food. Ok for an overnight stay.

Great water pressure. Air conditioning works well. Very clean. Easy access to highway. Bed not so great. Mattress and cover from another era. Old cigarette burn in bedspread. But not a deal breaker. Overall reasonable value. Would stay again when passing through.
