"The staff was excellent, they go out of their way to be friendly and accommodating. If you’re looking for a lot of action, stay somewhere else, this place has a very laid back vibe. Never had to wait for a lounge by the pool or on the beach. I was looking for a place to snorkel without going on an excursion, and this fit the bill. There are coral reefs right in front of the place."

"Rooms were clean, beds and pillows were comfortable, and staff was friendly, fun, and helpful. It was difficult to make dinner reservations so we were only able to eat at two of the specialty restaurants but the buffet food was good. My only complaint was the snack bar. Even though it’s on the beach and near the pool you couldn’t go in there with a bathing suit on, which was a little annoying during the day when you wanted to get a snack while being at the pool. Otherwise we had a great time and would definitely choose Riu Palace again. "
