"Beautiful Ryokan with wonderful staff. Everyone was especially kind and helpful - the best part of our stay was truly how nice everyone was and how welcome they made us feel. "BLACK MOLD, don’t book. I don’t like to leave bad reviews but this is a real health concern. The woman asked to “clean” it and offered another took but the while building smelled like mold. You can’t simply clean mold. You need to have it professionally removed. I understand Japan is humid and the bathroom is wet but other hotels offer a dehumidifier. We decided not to stay and we could not get a refund. Truly sucks since we couldn’t see the place until we checked in."
