After some debate with reception the guy borrowed our phone to show us where it was, not under this hotel but scrolled down another half dozen pages and showed us it the parking charges in the general terms and conditions, while scrolling saw the booking charge had dropped by £20, so suggested they took the parking charge out of this,...

No amenities apart from a Kettle, no cups but were given.2 paper cups and t and coffee when asked at reception. 2 bath towels but no hand towels. Tiny bar of soap and 2 sachets of shower wash. Bed rock hard and very uncomfortable. When stripping bed in morning, to save cleaners a little time , discoverd why we were pulling at the quilt all night...it was a single quilt sideways in a king sized cover! ...

"Loved this place. The setting is beautiful as was our room. A real mixture of old and new that worked perfectly. The staff were really friendly and attentive and we truly felt welcome. We opted for the pie for dinner and I can honestly say, it was the best pie I have ever eaten. The pastry was amazing and it was filled to the max with the ham and leek. "From check in to check out.I had a lovely stay. The hotel is really nice.I had an amazing sleep while there. The beds are very comfy. The breakfast on offer was really good, with cooked available. It was nice having a proper coffee maker at breakfast, so able to choose what you like.I would definitely stay again if in the area"

"Rugby match was being played and the car park was full even though there were security guards on checking in your staying, in the morning the car park was empty. The bar and restaurant was full so paying guests could not get food"

"The gym and pool were good but busy. It's a walk out of town, maybe 20 mins walk to the train station. Very nice staff, bar staff were particularly friendly and welcoming. Had a minor cleanliness issue with my room. They didn't correct it and didn't offer any recompense for it. Not my hair on the chair!"
