The staff is very friendly and helpful. I can’t say enough about how friendly the staff are here. They were always willing to help and ensured we were doing well. Amazing. The breakfast was good. Hotel is very quiet. We extended our stay here based on how happy we were with the hotel.

This is an amazing hotel with amazing staff. We actually stayed here twice. We booked for 2 nights and then extended that stay. Then we went to another hotel in Manchester for 2 nights but immediately regretted that and booked at The Alan for the remainder of our trip. When we returned, the staff remembered us. The staff were so friendly and helpful. They answered our questions and offered to help when needed. Always greeted us when we arrived too. The breakfast was always delicious. The majority of the high rating was due to the staff. Thank you!!

Staff were extremely helpful, attentive and friendly. The only downsides were the room had a hair on the bath, the shower curtain wasn’t the cleanest and when using the fan it expelled dust over the bed and my sisters bag, other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay! The breakfast had a good selection and was fresh and replenished well.

Have stayed here before and came back because of the great price in such a good location. I also love the reception and bar / breakfast areas. The rooms are a little lacking but for the price, it’s all you need. I would stay again!

Staff were great. However, the hotel was not of 4 star standard. Rooms felt like Premier Inn rooms. Had to ask for room to be cleaned the night before, it was not automatic. Even then it was just making the bed and folding the towels. They didn’t even refill the bottle of water (a refillable bottle), put the lid on or clean the glasses. There were also no amenities other thank shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. For example, no vanity kit or the like which one would expect from a 4*. And one pack of biscuits when there were two guests staying. I know these are all little things, and I booked a club room (which was still expensive), but these make the difference between a 4* and lesser star. A bit disappointed really.
