"Our experience was wonderful. We had almost no idea what to expect at Kamanuma - we just wanted to experience a traditional style Japanese Onsen and visit the beautiful Kiso valley. From the moment the chef/co-owner (brothers) picked us up at the train station, and all through the stay, the staff were very kind and helpful. Their focus is on a relaxing stay, with quiet tatami matt rooms, a peaceful tea-stocked central lobby, and separate hot/cold baths for men and women. Baths open all day...
"This hotel surpassed expectations from a service and amenities standpoint. It was easy to find and there were plenty of dining options nearby. We had a family of 6 split into 2 rooms and they were kind enough to provide 2 rooms that were beside each other for us. "
